Punjab Schools Expected to Reopen October 16 After Bandh Over Activist's Killing

Schools across Punjab are anticipated to resume normal operations on Friday, October 16, as no statewide order has extended the closures beyond Thursday's bandh. The shutdown on October 15 was called in protest against the killing of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota in Mansa. While some private schools in affected districts declared holidays or moved classes online, most government schools continued their regular schedules.
