Saudi Arabia has executed two Bangladeshi nationals convicted of committing immoral acts inside a mosque in Mecca. The Kingdom's Interior Ministry announced the executions, carried out on Wednesday, identifying the individuals as Nazerul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar. Authorities arrested the pair after the incident, and a court found them guilty, sentencing them to death under ta'zir, a discretionary punishment in Islamic law. The sentences were upheld by judicial authorities and authorised by a royal order.
