A Saharanpur court has sentenced a former SHO and a retired CO to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment each for raping a woman in 2015. The woman had approached the police station to inquire about her husband's alleged false implication in a criminal case. The court also imposed a fine of ₹1.20 lakh on each convict, with a significant portion directed to be paid to the victim as compensation.
