Delhi Trade Bodies Oppose Ramlila Maidan As Protest Site

Trade and transport associations in Delhi have urged authorities to remove Ramlila Maidan from the list of designated protest venues. They cite its proximity to major wholesale markets in Old Delhi, including Sadar Bazar and Chandni Chowk, raising concerns about disruptions to commercial activities and goods movement. The Chamber of Trade and Industry and the All India Motor and Goods Transport Association believe protests there could lead to traffic congestion and law-and-order challenges.
