PNG Drive 3.0 Launched to Expand Piped Gas Network, Boost Natural Gas Use

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has launched PNG Drive 3.0, a campaign to expand India's piped natural gas network and encourage a shift from LPG cylinders. Running, to March 31, 2027, the drive aims to increase natural gas's share in India's energy mix from 6% to 15%. The initiative targets adding 50 lakh new domestic PNG connections and activating 40 lakh inactive ones. It will focus on 80 geographical areas with high potential for converting LPG users and activating existing connections.

पेट्रोलियम मंत्री Hardeep Singh Puri ने PNG Drive 3.0 लॉन्च किया है। यह एक कैंपेन है जिसका मकसद भारत के पाइप वाली प्राकृतिक गैस नेटवर्क को बढ़ाना और LPG सिलेंडर से हटकर इसे अपनाने को बढ़ावा देना है। 31 मार्च, 2027 तक चलने वाले इस ड्राइव का लक्ष्य भारत के एनर्जी मिक्स में प्राकृतिक गैस की हिस्सेदारी को 6% से बढ़ाकर 15% करना है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य 50 लाख नए डोमेस्टिक PNG कनेक्शन जोड़ना और 40 लाख बंद पड़े कनेक्शन को फिर से चालू करना है। यह 80 ऐसे भौगोलिक इलाकों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा जहाँ LPG यूजर्स को बदलने और मौजूदा कनेक्शन को चालू करने की काफी संभावना है।
