Delhi Air Quality Remains Poor; No Relief Expected In Coming Days
Hindustan Times · environment
Delhi's air quality has remained in the 'poor' category for a second consecutive day, with the Air Quality Index recorded at 253 on Thursday morning. Several areas, including Chandni Chowk and Vivek Vihar, experienced 'very poor' air quality. The season's first 'poor' air was recorded on Wednesday following Dussehra celebrations, leading to the invocation of Stage I of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR. Projections indicate that stubble burning's contribution to pollution will rise significantly in the coming days, with no immediate improvement expected.
