Pune RTO Files FIR Against Rapido For Illegal Bike Taxi Operations

RTO has filed an FIR against Rapido for operating bike taxis using non-transport petrol two-wheelers without necessary permissions. This action follows a directive from Pune collector Jitendra Dudi, who had asked the aggregator to cease operations within a day or face legal consequences. The FIR cites violations of the Motor Vehicles Act and the IT Act, pertaining to cheating and unauthorized public transportation. Despite prior warnings and court decisions against such operations, Rapido's bike taxi service reportedly continued, leading to the RTO lodging the complaint.

आरटीओ ने रैपिडो के खिलाफ गैर-परिवहन पेट्रोल दोपहिया वाहनों का इस्तेमाल करके, ज़रूरी इजाज़त के बिना बाइक टैक्सी चलाने के आरोप में एफआईआर दर्ज की है। यह कार्रवाई पुणे के कलेक्टर जितेंद्र दुदी के निर्देश पर हुई है, जिन्होंने एग्रीगेटर से एक दिन के अंदर संचालन बंद करने या कानूनी कार्रवाई का सामना करने को कहा था। एफआईआर में मोटर वाहन अधिनियम और आईटी अधिनियम के तहत धोखाधड़ी और अनधिकृत सार्वजनिक परिवहन से संबंधित उल्लंघनों का ज़िक्र है। ऐसी कार्रवाइयों के खिलाफ पहले की चेतावनियों और अदालती फैसलों के बावजूद, कथित तौर पर रैपिडो की बाइक टैक्सी सेवा जारी रही, जिसके चलते आरटीओ ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई है।
