The Telangana Human Rights Commission has strongly criticised NIMS Hyderabad for a 12-year delay in releasing pensionary benefits to a retired professor. The commission noted that this prolonged delay subjected the former employee to undue hardship and mental agony. NIMS officials have been directed to determine and release all pensionary benefits within three weeks. The professor had taken voluntary retirement in November 2014, and despite a government order in October 2023, his dues remained unsettled. The commission emphasized that pension is an earned right, not a discretionary bounty.

तेलंगाना मानवाधिकार आयोग ने NIMS हैदराबाद की एक रिटायर्ड प्रोफेसर को पेंशन देने में 12 साल की देरी पर कड़ी आलोचना की है। आयोग ने कहा कि इस लंबी देरी से पूर्व कर्मचारी को बेवजह की परेशानी और मानसिक पीड़ा झेलनी पड़ी। NIMS अधिकारियों को तीन हफ्तों के अंदर सारी पेंशन राशि तय करके देने का निर्देश दिया गया है। प्रोफेसर ने नवंबर 2014 में स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति ली थी, और अक्टूबर 2023 के सरकारी आदेश के बावजूद उनका बकाया अभी तक नहीं मिला था। आयोग ने जोर देकर कहा कि पेंशन एक अर्जित अधिकार है, कोई ऐच्छिक भेंट नहीं।
