The Hindu - International · world
Indonesia has reduced its pipeline natural gas exports to Singapore by approximately 9%, amounting to 31 million standard cubic feet per day. This diversion of supply, starting October 24, 2026, is to prioritize domestic power generation needs, particularly for Batam, Bintan, and Sumatra. The reduction includes 15 mmscfd from Natuna and 16 mmscfd from Sumatra. Singapore's Energy Market Authority stated the cut is less than 2% of their total daily gas demand and assured sufficient energy supplies, with GasCo ready to import more LNG.
