Ahead of a significant protest demanding the resignation of India's chief election commissioner, leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) have been detained. Founder Abhijeet Dipke was arrested on a flight after landing in New Delhi, with authorities citing preventative measures. Co-conveners Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, along with legal aid head Ratna Singh, were also detained. The CJP has used the slogan 'Inqalab Zindabad' against the Modi government. Central Delhi is under heavy security, with internet blackouts and barricades in place.
