Court Bars Airing Of Veeramani Abuse Case Videos

The High Court has prohibited the broadcasting of any videos or audio recordings related to the sexual abuse case involving R Veeramani. Veeramani, an 84-year-old prominent Chennai-based businessman and founder of GEM Granites and the GEM Group of Companies, was arrested on August 29. His associates, Mahendra Simhan and Shanthi, were also apprehended, accused of facilitating the alleged offences. This judicial order aims to prevent the dissemination of potentially sensitive or prejudicial material during the ongoing legal proceedings.
