Cabinet Approves ₹2,009 Crore Bonus For 1.14 Million Railway Employees

The Union Cabinet has approved a productivity-linked bonus equivalent to 78 days' wages for over 1.14 million railway employees. This decision involves a total expenditure of ₹2,009.61 crore, recognizing the performance of non-gazetted staff during the 2025-26 fiscal year. The bonus, with a maximum payout of ₹17,951 per employee, is paid annually before Durga Puja and Dussehra. It aims to incentivize employees and acknowledge their contribution to Indian Railways' strong operational performance.

केंद्रीय कैबिनेट ने 11.4 लाख से ज़्यादा रेलवे कर्मचारियों के लिए 78 दिनों के वेतन के बराबर उत्पादकता-लिंक्ड बोनस को मंज़ूरी दे दी है। इस फैसले में कुल ₹2,009.61 करोड़ का खर्च शामिल है, जो 2025-26 के वित्तीय वर्ष के दौरान गैर-राजपत्रित कर्मचारियों के प्रदर्शन को मान्यता देता है। यह बोनस, जिसमें प्रति कर्मचारी अधिकतम ₹17,951 का भुगतान होगा, हर साल दुर्गा पूजा और दशहरा से पहले दिया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य कर्मचारियों को प्रोत्साहित करना और भारतीय रेलवे के मजबूत परिचालन प्रदर्शन में उनके योगदान को स्वीकार करना है।
