A new biopic, 'Tenzing,' directed by Jennifer Peedom and starring Genden Phuntsok, brings the story of Tenzing Norgay, the first Sherpa to summit Mount Everest, to the screen. The 125-minute film, available on Apple TV, shifts the historical narrative to center Norgay's experiences rather than solely focusing on his partnership with Edmund Hillary. The movie also features Indian actor Tenizin Dhala and Thinley Lhamo, exploring Norgay's eventful life. This film arrives at a time of important conversations about whose stories are told and how.
