Bengal Approves 12,400 New Durga Pujas; ₹1 Lakh Grants To Be Disbursed Soon

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced that the state government has granted permission for 12,400 new Durga Pujas this year, a significant increase from previous years. All these new pujas have received financial assistance from the state, with grants of ₹1 lakh to be disbursed soon. Adhikari noted that previously, obtaining permission for Durga Pujas often required approaching the Calcutta High Court. The government has also decided to organize special cultural programs across various locations in Bengal.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने घोषणा की कि राज्य सरकार ने इस साल 12,400 नई दुर्गा पूजाओं की अनुमति दी है, जो पिछले वर्षों की तुलना में काफी अधिक है। इन सभी नई पूजाओं को राज्य से वित्तीय सहायता मिली है, जिसमें ₹1 लाख की ग्रांट जल्द ही वितरित की जाएगी। अधिकारी ने बताया कि पहले दुर्गा पूजाओं की अनुमति के लिए अक्सर कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट जाना पड़ता था। सरकार ने बंगाल के विभिन्न स्थानों पर विशेष सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन करने का भी फैसला किया है।
