Farmer's Rs 48,600 Stolen; Inspector Suspended For Not Filing Report

A farmer in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly cheated out of ₹48,600 by two men who offered him a lift after he sold his paddy. The farmer claims he went to the local police station to report the incident, but the crime inspector refused to file his complaint. After gathering CCTV footage, the farmer approached senior police officials. The Senior Superintendent of Police subsequently suspended the crime inspector for negligence. Police have registered a case against unknown individuals and are attempting to identify and apprehend the suspects.

उत्तर प्रदेश के इटावा में एक किसान से कथित तौर पर ₹48,600 की ठगी हुई जब दो लोगों ने धान बेचने के बाद उसे लिफ्ट दी। किसान का दावा है कि वह घटना की रिपोर्ट करने के लिए स्थानीय पुलिस स्टेशन गया था, लेकिन क्राइम इंस्पेक्टर ने उसकी शिकायत दर्ज करने से इनकार कर दिया। सीसीटीवी फुटेज इकट्ठा करने के बाद, किसान ने वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों से संपर्क किया। वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक ने बाद में लापरवाही के लिए क्राइम इंस्पेक्टर को निलंबित कर दिया। पुलिस ने अज्ञात व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और संदिग्धों की पहचान करने और उन्हें पकड़ने का प्रयास कर रही है।
