Nifty Trades Above 23,450 Amid Negative Breadth

Indian equity benchmarks saw modest gains in early trade, with the Nifty surpassing 23,450. IT, FMCG, and auto stocks advanced, while metal, realty, and public sector bank shares declined. The broader market breadth was negative, with more stocks falling than rising on the BSE. Foreign portfolio investors have been net sellers of shares in September so far. India's wholesale inflation rose to 9.92% in August, and headline inflation increased to 4.82%.

भारतीय शेयर बाज़ारों में शुरुआती कारोबार में मामूली बढ़त देखी गई, निफ्टी 23,450 के पार चला गया। आईटी, एफएमसीजी और ऑटो शेयरों में तेज़ी आई, जबकि मेटल, रियलिटी और सरकारी बैंकों के शेयरों में गिरावट आई। बीएसई पर गिरने वाले शेयरों की संख्या बढ़ने वाले शेयरों से ज़्यादा रही। सितंबर में अब तक विदेशी पोर्टफोलियो निवेशकों ने शेयर बेचे हैं। अगस्त में थोक महंगाई बढ़कर 9.92% और खुदरा महंगाई 4.82% हो गई।
