IIT Graduates Develop Foldable Buildings to Aid Disaster Relief Efforts
The Better India · lifestyle
IIT Madras graduates Shreeram Ravichandran and P Gobinath developed innovative foldable buildings to address the housing gap faced by disaster victims. Inspired by the aftermath of the Chennai floods, they identified a critical need for temporary, sturdier structures that could bridge the years between initial relief and permanent housing. Their company, Modulus, has since constructed over 1500 such units. These modular buildings are designed for quick transport and easy on-site assembly, offering a practical solution for displaced families.
