An 18-month-old elephant calf suffering from a genetic bone disorder, osteopenia, and unable to stand will be flown from Kerala to Jamnagar, Gujarat, for specialized treatment. The calf, weighing approximately 125-130 kg, was moved to an animal ambulance and then to Nedumbassery airport for a chartered flight. Veterinary experts will accompany the calf to Vantara, where a treatment plan involving hormonal and hydrotherapy has been prepared. The initial treatment is expected to last four to six months, with Vantara covering all costs.

ऑस्टियोपेनिया नामक आनुवंशिक हड्डी विकार से पीड़ित 18 महीने का हाथी का बच्चा, जो खड़ा नहीं हो पा रहा है, विशेष इलाज के लिए केरल से गुजरात के जामनगर ले जाया जाएगा। लगभग 125-130 किलोग्राम वजन वाले इस बच्चे को एक पशु एम्बुलेंस में ले जाया गया और फिर चार्टर्ड उड़ान के लिए नेदुम्बास्सेरी हवाई अड्डे पर ले जाया गया। पशु चिकित्सक वांटारा में बच्चे के साथ रहेंगे, जहाँ हार्मोनल और हाइड्रोथेरेपी सहित एक उपचार योजना तैयार की गई है। प्रारंभिक उपचार चार से छह महीने तक चलने की उम्मीद है, और वांटारा सभी खर्चों को कवर करेगा।
