बीजेपी ने जम्मू-कश्मीर को पूर्ण राज्य का दर्जा बहाल करने के प्रस्ताव को सिरे से खारिज कर दिया है। बीजेपी नेता सुनील शर्मा ने इसे "विवादित और अमान्य" बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि पार्टी कभी भी स्वायत्तता या अनुच्छेद 370 पर बहस बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगी। विधानसभा में गरमागरम बहस के बाद कार्यवाही स्थगित करनी पड़ी। शर्मा ने सरकार पर सुशासन के मुद्दों से ध्यान भटकाने का आरोप लगाया। बीजेपी अनुच्छेद 370 पर फिर से चर्चा के खिलाफ है।
