West Bengal CM Announces Reopening of Chhoto Angaria and Nandigram Cases

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has announced his intention to reopen cases related to the 2001 Chhoto Angaria massacre and the 2007 Nandigram firing. These incidents collectively resulted in approximately 19 deaths. Adhikari vowed that no one involved would be spared, specifically mentioning former CPI(M) leader Tapan Ghosh. He accused the AITC and CPI(M) of collaborating to destabilize the state. The CPI(M) has criticized Adhikari's directive to the police, questioning his authority and adherence to legal procedures.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने 2001 के छोटू अंगारिया नरसंहार और 2007 की नंदीग्राम फायरिंग से संबंधित मामलों को फिर से खोलने की अपनी मंशा की घोषणा की है। इन घटनाओं में कुल मिलाकर लगभग 19 लोगों की मौत हुई थी। अधिकारी ने कसम खाई कि इसमें शामिल किसी को भी बख्शा नहीं जाएगा, खासकर पूर्व CPI(M) नेता तापस घोष का नाम लिया। उन्होंने AITC और CPI(M) पर राज्य को अस्थिर करने के लिए मिलकर काम करने का आरोप लगाया। CPI(M) ने पुलिस को अधिकारी के निर्देश की आलोचना की है, उनके अधिकार और कानूनी प्रक्रियाओं के पालन पर सवाल उठाया है।
