A TOI analysis of Maharashtra RERA projects revealed that 27.2% of projects with lapsed completion dates had at least one extension. Of these, 110 projects had three or more recorded extension events. Homebuyers' bodies argue that while RERA is robust, its implementation allows developers to repeatedly seek extensions, leading to prolonged delays. This practice leaves buyers in a perpetual state of waiting for their homes, with completion dates constantly shifting.

महाराष्ट्र RERA प्रोजेक्ट्स के विश्लेषण से पता चला है कि जिन प्रोजेक्ट्स की कंप्लीशन डेट्स निकल चुकी हैं, उनमें से 27.2% को कम से कम एक एक्सटेंशन मिला है। इनमें से 110 प्रोजेक्ट्स को तीन या उससे ज़्यादा बार एक्सटेंशन मिला है। खरीदारों का कहना है कि RERA अच्छा है, लेकिन लागू करने में ढील की वजह से डेवलपर्स बार-बार एक्सटेंशन ले लेते हैं, जिससे देरी होती रहती है।
