Kerala Health Minister K. Muraleedharan has pledged to implement measures to increase HPV vaccination coverage among adolescent girls, aiming to protect them from cervical cancer. Speaking at a national conference in Kozhikode on September 19, he acknowledged that vaccination rates have been low in certain areas. The HPV vaccine is currently provided free to 14-year-old girls under the national immunisation program.
