Tahir Hussain Convicted in 2020 Delhi Riots Case; 12 Others Acquitted

A Delhi court has convicted former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain in a case linked to the 2020 northeast Delhi riots in the Dayalpur area. Twelve other individuals accused alongside Hussain have been acquitted by the court. Hussain was convicted under IPC Section 147 for rioting, read with Section 109 for abetment. The court has scheduled November 16 for arguments on the quantum of sentence.

दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने दयाल पुर इलाके में 2020 के पूर्वोत्तर दिल्ली दंगों से जुड़े एक मामले में आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के पूर्व पार्षद ताहिर हुसैन को दोषी ठहराया है। अदालत ने हुसैन के साथ आरोपी 12 अन्य व्यक्तियों को बरी कर दिया है। हुसैन को दंगे के लिए IPC की धारा 147 के तहत और उकसाने के लिए धारा 109 के साथ पढ़ा गया दोषी ठहराया गया है। अदालत ने सजा की मात्रा पर बहस के लिए 16 नवंबर की तारीख तय की है।
