Pennsylvania Couple's Six-Year Drive-Through Fight Revived by Court
Times of India - India · india
A Pennsylvania couple's six-year legal battle to add a drive-through window at their truck stop has been revived by the Commonwealth Court. The couple, Jyotsna and Anil Jivani, sought to add the facility to their 5-7-acre truck stop, which already offers 24-hour service and prepared food. Local zoning officials had denied permission, citing township regulations prohibiting drive-throughs at convenience stores. The court overturned the denial, finding conflicting provisions in the zoning ordinance and recognizing the drive-through as a natural business expansion.
