Indian Rupee Gains 29 Paise Against US Dollar Amidst IPO Inflows

Business Standard · business

The Indian rupee strengthened by 29 paise to trade at 94.62 against the US dollar during early trade on Wednesday. This appreciation was driven by positive domestic market sentiment and support from the Reserve Bank of India. Foreign dollar inflows linked to the Jio IPO also provided a significant boost, according to analysts. However, rising crude oil prices and a strong US dollar limited the overall gains for the rupee. The rupee had previously closed at 94.91 against the dollar on Monday.
