Israel Kills Militant Who Abducted Two Hostages

Israel claims to have killed Saher Nidal Saqr, a militant involved in the abduction of two Israeli citizens during the October 7, 2023, attack. The Israel Defense Forces stated that Saqr also provided weapons to Hamas and advanced attacks against Israeli civilians and troops. Footage showed him abducting hostages from the Nova music festival. This strike comes as the Palestinian death toll in the Gaza war reportedly exceeds 74,000. The IDF also reported killing another Hamas commander who held nine hostages.
