Three French IS Suspects Receive Life Sentences in Iraq

An Iraqi criminal court has sentenced three French nationals to life imprisonment, equivalent to 20 years, for joining the "Islamic State" terror group. The trio, identified as Charly S., Kamal M., and Amir A., were convicted of belonging to the organization and contributing to the spread of terror. These sentences follow similar convictions for six other French nationals who also received life terms, with one getting 15 years. All these individuals were part of a larger group of 47 French citizens transferred from Syrian detention facilities last year.
