US to Ask NATO Allies for More Ukraine Arms Funding Amid Lingering Tensions
Hindustan Times · world
The United States is preparing to request increased financial contributions from NATO allies for a crucial weapons delivery program supporting Ukraine. This initiative, known as the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), allows member states to fund US-provided military equipment for Kyiv. Despite recent tensions between US President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, the US aims to ensure continued arms flow. A funding gap of approximately $2 billion for already approved weapons packages has been identified, with the US having previously supplied arms before receiving allied funds.
