CJP Leaders Detained, Asked to Furnish Bond Before Delhi Protest

Delhi Police detained three leaders of the CJP – Abhijit Deepke, Ashutosh Ranka, and Saurav Das – before they could participate in a planned protest. The leaders were presented before a magistrate and subsequently released after signing a bond of ₹50,000 with certain conditions. The CJP had called for a protest demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. Police stated the action was a precautionary measure under sections 126 and 170 of the BNSS to ensure peace and good behaviour for one year.
