Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of facilitating large-scale 'vote theft' for the BJP and demanded his ouster. Addressing a function in Patna, Kharge called for a protest on November 1 to press for the CEC's dismissal and the abrogation of a law granting immunity to election commissioners. He alleged that governments in Bengal, Haryana, Bihar, and Maharashtra were 'stolen' through electoral roll revision exercises. Kharge also criticized Prime Minister Modi's government for unfulfilled promises and Nitish Kumar for aligning with the RSS.
