Centre's Onion Express Reaches Tripura To Stabilise Festive Prices

To ensure onion availability and stable prices during the festive season, the Department of Consumer Affairs has launched the Kanda Express service to Tripura. Around 440 metric tonnes of buffer onions, funded by the Centre's Price Stabilisation Fund, are set to reach Agartala. This initiative aims to strengthen supply chains and increase market stocks, ensuring onions are sold at reasonable rates. Seven districts in Tripura will benefit from this rail-and-road distribution plan, adding to previous supplies sent to the Northeast.

त्योहारी सीजन के दौरान प्याज की उपलब्धता और स्थिर कीमतों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए, उपभोक्ता मामले विभाग ने त्रिपुरा के लिए कांडा एक्सप्रेस सेवा शुरू की है। केंद्र के मूल्य स्थिरीकरण कोष द्वारा वित्त पोषित लगभग 440 मीट्रिक टन बफर प्याज अगरतला पहुंचने वाले हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य आपूर्ति श्रृंखलाओं को मजबूत करना और बाजार के स्टॉक को बढ़ाना है, जिससे यह सुनिश्चित हो सके कि प्याज उचित दरों पर बेचे जाएं। त्रिपुरा के सात जिलों को इस रेल-और-सड़क वितरण योजना से लाभ होगा, जो पहले से पूर्वोत्तर में भेजे गए स्टॉक में जोड़ा जाएगा।
