Cheetah Cubs Survive Storms and Mother's Illness

Five cheetah cubs born at Prague Zoo on June 18 have successfully overcome significant challenges, including severe storms and their mother Daenerys's intestinal infection. Despite the adverse conditions during birth and her inexperience, Daenerys protected the quintuplets from torrential rains by licking water from their fur. The zoo reported on Friday that all five cubs are now doing well. This survival is crucial for the species, as cheetahs are critically endangered, with fewer than 7,000 remaining in the wild and a 25% decline in European zoos since 2020.
