Kochi's Thiruvankulam Junction to be Developed; Land Acquisition Soon

Development work is set to begin at Thiruvankulam Junction in Kochi to alleviate severe traffic congestion on NH 85. Union ministry of road transport has identified Thiruvankulam and Karingachira as high-risk 'black spots'. The National Highways Authority of India plans to acquire a 30-metre-wide strip of land to improve safety and traffic flow. Additionally, plans include constructing a dedicated bus bay, rebuilding drains, and establishing a pedestrian sidewalk. Land acquisition for the Kureekkad railway overbridge is also in its final stages, with funding expected soon.

एनएच 85 पर भारी ट्रैफिक जाम से निपटने के लिए कोच्चि के तिरुवांकुलम जंक्शन पर विकास कार्य शुरू होने वाला है। केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन मंत्रालय ने तिरुवांकुलम और कारिंगाचिरा को उच्च जोखिम वाले 'ब्लैक स्पॉट' के रूप में पहचाना है। नेशनल हाईवे अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया सुरक्षा और ट्रैफिक प्रवाह को बेहतर बनाने के लिए 30 मीटर चौड़ी ज़मीन का अधिग्रहण करने की योजना बना रही है। इसके अलावा, एक समर्पित बस बे, नालियों के पुनर्निर्माण और पैदल चलने वालों के लिए फुटपाथ बनाने की भी योजनाएं हैं। कुरेककाड रेलवे ओवरब्रिज के लिए ज़मीन अधिग्रहण भी अंतिम चरण में है, और जल्द ही इसके लिए फंड मिलने की उम्मीद है।
