MUV Hits Cops on Ganpati Patrol, Driver Flees

A police constable and an assistant sub-inspector were injured on Thane-Belapur Road during Ganpati immersion patrol when a speeding MUV struck their motorcycle. The incident occurred near Digha pond around 12:20 AM on Monday. Constable Umesh Patil sustained leg injuries, while ASI Rashmin Magar suffered bruises. The driver fled the scene but was later traced to Ghansoli. Police have registered an FIR and will summon the driver after his wife's delivery.

गणेश विसर्जन के दौरान ठाणे-बेलापुर रोड पर एक तेज रफ्तार MUV ने पुलिस की मोटरसाइकिल को टक्कर मार दी। इस हादसे में एक सिपाही और एक सहायक सब-इंस्पेक्टर घायल हो गए। यह घटना सोमवार देर रात करीब 12:20 बजे दिघा तालाब के पास हुई। सिपाही उमेश पाटिल के पैर में चोट आई, जबकि ASI रश्मिं मगर को खरोंचें आईं। ड्राइवर मौके से फरार हो गया था, लेकिन बाद में उसे घनसोली से पकड़ लिया गया।
