Despite being a high-profile constituency, administrative preparedness was lacking, with insufficient boats, divers, and SDRF deployment. This led to villagers being forced to travel in unsafe conditions.

पिछले कुछ हफ्तों में बिहार के वैशाली जिले में बाढ़ और नाव दुर्घटनाओं के कारण 25 से ज़्यादा लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। राघोपुर इलाक़े में, जहाँ से तेजस्वी यादव विधायक हैं, 76 गाँव डूब गए हैं, जिससे 20 पंचायतों पर असर पड़ा है। एक हाई-प्रोफ़ाइल निर्वाचन क्षेत्र होने के बावजूद, प्रशासनिक तैयारी में कमी थी, जिसमें अपर्याप्त नावें, गोताखोर और SDRF की तैनाती शामिल थी। इसके कारण ग्रामीणों को असुरक्षित परिस्थितियों में यात्रा करने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा।
