Panel Recommends Annual Screening For Kidney Disease

A parliamentary committee has recommended annual screening and an additional test for chronic kidney disease (CKD). The report highlights that CKD often remains asymptomatic until significant kidney function is lost, leading to severe complications and the need for dialysis. Agricultural workers and other outdoor labourers are identified as particularly vulnerable groups affected by this condition.
