President Droupadi Murmu visited the 9-km Atal Tunnel on the second day of her three-day Himachal Pradesh visit. She showed keen interest in the tunnel's engineering features and technical aspects, while also enjoying the surrounding Himalayan landscape. The Atal Tunnel, located at over 10,000 feet, provides an all-weather link between Lahaul-Spiti and the rest of India. Governor Kavinder Gupta accompanied the President, highlighting the tunnel as a symbol of India's technological capability and commitment to connecting remote regions. Later, the President visited the historic Hidimba Temple in Manali.

राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने अपने तीन दिवसीय हिमाचल प्रदेश दौरे के दूसरे दिन 9 किलोमीटर लंबी अटल सुरंग का दौरा किया। उन्होंने सुरंग की इंजीनियरिंग विशेषताओं और तकनीकी पहलुओं में गहरी रुचि दिखाई, साथ ही आसपास के हिमालयी परिदृश्य का भी आनंद लिया। 10,000 फीट से अधिक की ऊंचाई पर स्थित अटल सुरंग, लाहौल-स्पीति और बाकी भारत के बीच हर मौसम में संपर्क प्रदान करती है। राज्यपाल कवेंद्र गुप्ता ने राष्ट्रपति के साथ सुरंग को भारत की तकनीकी क्षमता और दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों को जोड़ने की प्रतिबद्धता के प्रतीक के रूप में उजागर किया। बाद में, राष्ट्रपति ने मनाली में ऐतिहासिक हिडिम्बा देवी मंदिर का दौरा किया।
