Cheetah Cub Dies From Firearm Pellet Wounds In Madhya Pradesh

A 19-month-old cheetah cub, born in India to a South African cheetah, has died from firearm pellet wounds. The cub was found injured outside Kuno National Park and received veterinary care, but succumbed to its injuries on October 27. An investigation is underway, with both the Union government and the Madhya Pradesh government forming special teams to probe the incident. This death raises concerns about the safety of cheetahs reintroduced to India.

दक्षिण अफ्रीका से लाए गए चीते के 19 महीने के शावक की गोली लगने से मौत हो गई है। यह शावक कूनो नेशनल पार्क के बाहर घायल मिला था और उसे इलाज भी दिया गया था, लेकिन 27 अक्टूबर को उसने दम तोड़ दिया। इस मामले में केंद्र सरकार और मध्य प्रदेश सरकार दोनों ने जांच के लिए विशेष टीमें बनाई हैं। भारत में चीतों को फिर से बसाने के कार्यक्रम की सुरक्षा पर यह मौत चिंता बढ़ा रही है।
