Lawyers Detained Near Supreme Court During Protest For CEC Resignation

Several lawyers protesting near the Supreme Court in Delhi were detained by police on Bhagwan Das Road. The advocates were attempting to march towards Jantar Mantar, raising slogans and carrying posters demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police stopped the march at barricades, detaining many lawyers. Heightened security was in place across the capital ahead of the planned demonstration. The All India Lawyers Union confirmed the detentions, with some lawyers reporting being stopped after a short distance while others managed to proceed.
