Tata Group stocks lost nearly ₹39,000 crore in market value on Friday following comments from Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata. He reportedly called the reappointment of Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran illegal, conflicting with the SP Group's stance on a Tata Sons listing. Market heavyweight TCS led the decline, losing ₹30,754 crore. The Nifty Tata 25 Cap Index fell 1.12 per cent while the broader Nifty rose.
