The Andhra Pradesh government has increased the upper age limit for direct recruitment to non-uniform government jobs from 42 to 44 years. This relaxation is extended until September 30, 2027, impacting recruitment for 892 posts notified by the APPSC. The decision follows representations citing limited job opportunities for unemployed youth. This move places Andhra Pradesh second among southern states, ahead of UPSC. Uniformed services also receive a one-year extension on their age relaxation.

आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार ने सरकारी नौकरियों में भर्ती के लिए ऊपरी आयु सीमा 42 से बढ़ाकर 44 साल कर दी है। यह छूट 30 सितंबर 2027 तक लागू रहेगी। इससे APPSC द्वारा विज्ञापित 892 पदों पर भर्ती पर असर पड़ेगा। यह फैसला बेरोजगार युवाओं के लिए सीमित अवसर की शिकायतों के बाद लिया गया है। वर्दी वाली सेवाओं के लिए भी आयु सीमा में एक साल की छूट दी गई है।
