Only 70 out of Nagpur Municipal Corporation's 204 gardens have security guards, leaving most vulnerable to anti-social activities. This security gap was highlighted by incidents like suspected cannabis plants found in Gajanan Garden and ganja seized from a smart toilet. Residents have complained about drinking, drug use, and suspicious movements in these spaces. The civic body is now seeking guards for 26 additional gardens to address these ongoing concerns and improve safety.

नागपुर म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन के 204 बागों में से सिर्फ 70 बागों में सुरक्षा गार्ड हैं, जिससे ज़्यादातर बाग असामाजिक गतिविधियों के लिए असुरक्षित हैं। सुरक्षा की यह कमी गजानन बाग में संदिग्ध भांग के पौधे मिलने और एक स्मार्ट टॉयलेट से गांजा जब्त होने जैसी घटनाओं से उजागर हुई है। निवासियों ने इन जगहों पर शराब पीने, नशीली दवाओं के सेवन और संदिग्ध गतिविधियों की शिकायत की है। नागरिक निकाय अब इन लगातार चिंताओं को दूर करने और सुरक्षा में सुधार के लिए 26 अतिरिक्त बागों के लिए गार्ड की तलाश कर रहा है।
