Telangana High Court Issues Notice to Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar in Contempt Case

The Telangana High Court has issued a notice to Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar in a contempt of court case. A 33-year-old businessman filed a petition alleging Sajjanar wilfully disobeyed a previous court order. The order directed the Commissioner to investigate claims of torture and illegal detention by Bhavaninagar police officers. The businessman had alleged he was beaten without a case being registered against him. The court had previously instructed Sajjanar to examine the complaint and CCTV footage.
