NCPCR Summons Meta Over Child Exploitation Ads

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has summoned Meta officials for a hearing regarding child sexual exploitation and abuse material (CSEAM) on Instagram. This follows a BBC investigation that found numerous ads linking to CSEAM on other platforms. The IT Ministry has also summoned the company. Meta stated that its systems had already identified and disabled many violating ads and accounts, but acknowledged that determined criminals continue to exploit the platform.
