Late Night Eating Linked to 30% Higher Liver Disease Risk
Times of India · health
Researchers analyzing data from nearly 200,000 people found that eating late at night is associated with a significantly higher risk of developing liver disease. The study, published in Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, indicated an adjusted risk of about 36% higher for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and 28% higher for cirrhosis. This adds to growing evidence that the timing of meals, not just what is consumed, plays a crucial role in liver health.
