Southern and central districts of Jharkhand are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall today, according to the Ranchi Meteorological Centre. Isolated areas like Simdega and West Singhbhum may see very heavy showers, while Ranchi, Khunti, and Gumla could also receive intense rainfall. The weather office has warned of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. This increased rainfall activity is linked to a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal moving inland.
