NDTV · india

Ahead of the Durga Puja festival in West Bengal, posters have appeared in several areas urging people to purchase biryani and puja items exclusively from Hindu-owned businesses. The posters, attributed to the Hindu Jagaran Manch, carry messages such as "Eat biryani at a Hindu shop" and "Buy puja articles from Hindu shops." However, the organization has clarified that these posters are not a mandatory directive for the public. The emergence of these posters has sparked discussion and concern regarding religious and economic divisions during the festive season.
