Karnataka Vendor Declared Dead; Expelled BJP Leader Booked

A vegetable vendor in Karnataka's Vijayapura, Abdul Razak Bagwan, discovered he was declared dead and removed from the electoral roll. He reported at least seven others faced the same fate, allegedly due to documents submitted by expelled BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal. Police have booked Yatnal and two others based on Bagwan's complaint. This marks the ninth case of alleged voter deletion attempts during the Special Intensive Revision process in the state. The Election Commission of India has directed officials to examine false applications and take legal action.
