Madras High Court Adjourns DMK Plea, Asks SIT to Work Peacefully

The Madras High Court has adjourned a petition filed by the DMK seeking to inquire into the Chief Minister and two Ministers regarding a POCSO case. Justice V. Lakshminarayanan urged that the Special Investigation Team probing the case be allowed to work without political interference. The DMK had sought the SIT to summon the Chief Minister and ministers based on their representation. The party also filed a defamation suit seeking ₹1 crore damages against two ministers for alleged false accusations.

मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने POCSO मामले में मुख्यमंत्री और दो मंत्रियों की जांच की मांग करने वाली डीएमके की याचिका को स्थगित कर दिया है। जस्टिस वी. लक्ष्मीनारायणन ने मामले की जांच कर रही स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम (SIT) को राजनीतिक हस्तक्षेप के बिना काम करने देने का आग्रह किया। डीएमके ने अपनी याचिका में SIT से मुख्यमंत्री और मंत्रियों को बुलाने की मांग की थी। पार्टी ने दो मंत्रियों के खिलाफ झूठे आरोप लगाने के लिए ₹1 करोड़ के मानहानि का मुकदमा भी दायर किया है।
