Senior Living Industry Needs Government Recognition

The Association of Senior Living India (ASLI) has urged the government to recognise the senior living care industry as India's elderly population is projected to reach 350 million by 2047. ASLI chairman Rajagopal G stated that the industry requires basic regulations and government intervention in manpower development. He also highlighted the need for insurance products for citizens above 65, covering home care, assisted living, and memory care, citing examples from countries like Japan. This recognition is crucial for the substantial growth of the senior living sector.

वरिष्ठ जीवन उद्योग को सरकारी मान्यता की ज़रूरत

एसोसिएशन ऑफ सीनियर लिविंग इंडिया (ASLI) ने सरकार से वरिष्ठ जीवन देखभाल उद्योग को मान्यता देने का आग्रह किया है क्योंकि भारत की बुजुर्ग आबादी 2047 तक 350 मिलियन तक पहुंचने का अनुमान है। ASLI के अध्यक्ष राजगोपाल जी ने कहा कि उद्योग को बुनियादी नियमों और मानव संसाधन विकास में सरकारी हस्तक्षेप की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने 65 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के नागरिकों के लिए बीमा उत्पादों की आवश्यकता पर भी प्रकाश डाला, जिसमें जापान जैसे देशों के उदाहरणों का हवाला देते हुए होम केयर, असिस्टेड लिविंग और मेमोरी केयर शामिल हैं। वरिष्ठ जीवन क्षेत्र के पर्याप्त विकास के लिए यह मान्यता महत्वपूर्ण है।
